We love nothing better than giving places second chances to be homes. We love making them pretty again but sometimes catching glimpses of the life before can be a little sad and is worth a minute to honor what is was before. Little old ladies who who wore high stockings(reminds me if my Granny), probably spent her whole life saving for the curtains and blinds and the GIANT fireplace. Complaining that they never had enough clothes hangers. Leaving new fence panels propped in the back yard and brand new shower doors that never got installed. And then someone comes in and all that stuff you worked so hard for is someone else’s garbage. And those rooms you grew up in takr on a new life Just a reminder not to lose sight of what’s important. Don’t focus on that stuff that ends up in the dumpster.
