For all of you who use the CharlevoixCam to enjoy the view of the Round Lake when you’re not at FunkiER Properties, now is the time to help. There was a lightning strike on the building next-door to FunkiER Properties, several weeks ago. Fortunately, the damage to FunkiER Properties, was minimal except to the internet, the cable and the Charlevoix cam that is mounted on the Lakeview deck. Charlevoix Cam has worked very hard to try to get the Round Lake cam up and running, but it sustained enough damage that it’s not an easy fix. Charlevoix cam is operated totally on donated funds and volunteer time. This is a great time to show your appreciation for being able to see all of the Charlevoix cams.
Thanks!
Calling all CharlevoixCam Fans! The Round Lake Cam and the FerryCam need some repairs.
The Round Lake Cam is being sent in for repairs, and will likely need a new dome and a new mount as well. The mount contains a circuit board and cables that were likely damaged at the same time as the Round Lake Cam. A lightning storm is most likely the culprit 😏.
The FerryCam has a fogging situation happening inside the dome or on the lens. The weathered dome may need to be replaced, and the lens itself may need replacing.
These repairs cost money and time. We donate our time (and money) to be able to keep these cams running. But we can’t do it alone.
We could really use your help, and if you love the LIVE cams as much as we do, please consider contributing to CharlevoixCam and the repairs of the LIVE Cams.
If you want to help, you can donate through our website at the link in the first comment or you can send checks to:

CharlevoixCam does not make money, it costs money, and is not funded by the City, although many people seem to think it is. We are only able to make things happen because of all of the awesome viewers and contributors who keep it alive and the generous businesses who donate internet. (VUE Wine Bar, The Happy Troll Charlevoix , Funkier Properties and Charlevoix County)
Hopefully together, we can get these repairs done and get things working better than ever and soon!
THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE DONATED ALREADY! Feeling the love!!💕
