We think it's time for a post from our annual Shads Landing Carnival! August has been filled with lots of fun events. Our carnival had games galore, food made from our Executive Chef Courtney, and special help from our volunteers at Elevation Church in the University area. We hope to see you all next year!

Can somebody say refreshing? We can at our Shads Landing Lemonade Stand! As we count down the days to our Citrus Festival on August 22nd from 2:00-4:00pm, our Activities Coordinator showed residents how to cool down with a tutorial on how to make cherry lemonade! When we say summer you say, camping! For the last week of June to kick off the summer season our residents made s'mores on our back patio as we listened to ghost tales from the past. But the fun did not stop there, our residents went back in time and told scary stories around the campfire, and even recreated the legendary Fireside Chats that President Roosevelt created in the 1930s. We hope to continue having a good time and beating the heat this summer with our zesty citrus programing!
