It’s a moody Monday ya’ll! I call this , soft island girl
. 🌺When I design a space in my home or for clients, I’m careful not to take cliche approaches to popular looks.

This particular client wanted a home office to double as a she-lounge, and wanted to tap into her roots.

The mix of natural woods, the oversize lounge chair and gold accents throughout the space balances the soft girlishness of the pink color used throughout.

Ultimately the space is grown, sexy & relaxing space. I don’t know what kind of “work” is getting done in this space, but let’s go with it😜💋Cheers 🥂

Buyers, if you’re in the market for a new home NOW is the time! The biggest complaint we’ve been hearing in this current market is the low housing inventory; demand is ⬆ and supply is ⬇.

Much of that is because as quickly as a house hits the market, it gets snatched right up…which is great news for sellers! 🎉 BUT buyers there’s hope…

The spring and summer seasons have historically meant more homes for you to choose from. Who wants to move in the snow, right?! Not I!! 👎🏽 Warmer weather and kids getting out of school = more homes on the market.

It’s the small things for me that make all the difference. Take this staircase for instance. Swipe to see the before photo. 👉🏽 I wish I had a true “before” picture that showed when the staircase was all carpet. We eventually had the carpet replaced with hardwoods and for that added touch, the sisal runner with bronze stair rods provided the added layering, texture and interest that I was looking for.✨

Upgrading your staircase seems like a small thing I know, but trust me when I tell you, it doesn’t always take an enormous remodel to make huge differences in your home.

My house serves as my own personal canvas to experiment and try out interior design ideas… and even vendors that I want to recommend to my interior design and real estate clients.

5 years ago, we built a new home and while it’s great to buy new, I felt my home lacked character and personality. AND, I refused to pay 💸 those inflated builder prices for some of the custom upgrades being offered. I knew that with patience, discipline and a little sweat equity, that we could gradually transform this house into a home that truly reflects our personalities.

I can’t wait to show you more before and afters as I give my new home an old soul and help my clients achieve the same thing! 💕
