Realtor® Danielle Wasser Edwards has been chosen as one of six community/civic leaders to participate in Charlotte Ballet’s upcoming ‘Dancing with the Stars’ challenge on Mar. 4, at Knight Theater.

👋😻Hello?! Are you there? It's me Danielle Edwards, just over here burning the candle at both ends, doing life, working, AND trying to help people who REALLY NEED OUR SUPPORT get off the streets. Homelessness affects hardworking families who are experiencing the lowest low of their life. Thankfully, there are many wonderful charities in Charlotte that support them, from soup kitchens to helping them become workforce ready. One of them is the Canopy Housing Foundation
My heart goes out to ANYONE who has tried to raise money before. This, by far, is the HARDEST thing I have ever done.
I know everyone is "busy" and we are all asked to donate to various causes all the time. As someone who normally is the first person to donate to a friend's school fundraiser, buy girl scout cookies, or make charitable contributions to support your "cause," I am pleading with you to take FIVE minutes to consider mine.
I have taken on 7 weeks of dance rehearsal, marketing, planning, coordinating child care, injuries etc. I don't say this to complain, just to explain this is not just a fundraiser... it is a competition! I am against BIG corporate executives with DEEP pockets. This is a grassroots effort to help me prove a point that a working mom can also take this on AND make an impact.
I AM BEYOND GRATEFUL to those of you who have taken the time to make a contribution. You are the TRUE HEROES.
SO! If you need an incentive, I have put together these prizes I will raffle off.

Who’s ready for a challenge?!?! Publix is sponsoring our first challenge with 10,000 votes up for grabs.

The star dancer with the most NEW ticket sales from Thursday until Friday at 11:59 PM will have 10,000 votes added to their total.
1 ticket = 1 point. Star Dancer with the most points wins!!

I know y’all have been practicing so hard on your dance sequences and can’t wait to strut your stuff on stage on March 4th. Okay, well maybe you are a little nervous but that’s normal! Trust me, you are going to want your friends in the audience cheering you on! This challenge is a perfect way to get your cheer squad together! Round up your people and tell them you need them in the audience rooting for you. The judges love to hear the crowd having a good time so encourage your rowdy friends to be there. It’s also so much fun to have your friends greet you on the red carpet!

So take advantage of this challenge and start gathering your people for an incredibly fun night supporting 2 great organizations, the Charlotte Ballet and your charity.

😱WOO HOO! 😱🤩Professional video time! I am so honored to be paired with Maurice as we are dancing our hearts out for GOOD! 😱🤩

Here is what you need to know-
1) I dance, practice, plan, prep, and raise money
2) Hope my sweet friends join me to make a lasting impact to END HOMELESSNESS

$5 Provides one hygiene kit (contains all of the basic materials for good hygiene and health, such as toothbrush, toothpaste, and soap) for a child experiencing housing insecurity

$10 Provides a pillow and a blanket for a homeless individual

$25 Provides clean undergarments for an individual who is currently homeless as well as one clean, new t-shirt and a small assortment of hygiene products

$150 Equips families with two essential kits (a cleaning kit and a kitchen kit) as they move from homelessness to more permanent housing

$350 Provides a completely furnished home for a homeless individual utilizing local partnerships and furniture donation banks

$500 Assists a family that is unsheltered in rebuilding their lives with rental assistance, medical assistance, food, clothing, transportation, and job assistance

$1500 Assists a family of 4 (living below the poverty level) in obtaining secure and stable housing for one month period through a rental partnership program orchestrated by local rental agencies

$3000 Re-locate 30 families or individuals into transitional, temporary housing at a cost of $100 each – setting them on a path towards a new life

Nope… this was my day. Hurt my back dancing… so finally had to hit Evergreen Chiropractic for cupping and magic per the recommendation of Stratos Lambos. (Don’t ask how much this cost 😒😒) then sent over 35 personal videos to fellow realtors asking for their support (don’t ask how many responded🙃). This fundraising is tough. Def wish I could just be dancing. However, not what I signed up for.
