17፤ ትዕቢተኛ ዓይን፥ ሐሰተኛ ምላስ፥ ንጹሕን ደም የምታፈስስ እጅ፥

18፤ ክፉ አሳብን የሚያበቅል ልብ፥ ወደ ክፉ የምትሮጥ እግር፥

19፤ በሐሰት የሚናገር ሐሰተኛ ምስክር፡ በወንድማማች መካከልም ጠብን የሚዘራ።

19. a false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.

Sometimes we live as if we have to make ourselves ‘good enough’ for Jesus to complete His work in us. But Jesus’ work began on the cross when we were still far off from Him. For sin creates an impassable chasm between us and God, and only the blood of Jesus bridges the gap. Let us remember in our walk and in our witness that it is impossible to build half a bridge. Instead, we must depend wholly on the work of Jesus.
