Yesterday, I had a meeting where I described why I focus on working with new construction for real estate sales. For the first time, I was able to verbalize it in one sentence (😅)… Simple plot, complex characters.

Home sales and purchases come with a variety of complexities that us agents/brokers facilitate solutions for and those complexities can come from the property we’re working with or the client we’re representing - often both.

There’s no ”one size fits all” in real estate and in my own experience over the past 6 years, I’ve learned that I personally enjoy client-related complexities more than property-related ones. I’ve determined that I’ve experienced less complications with new construction homes than with resale homes. Also, I like being creative about people’s strategies considering their unique circumstances. So, working with what I consider the simpler type of properties gives me more room to focus on my clients’ solutions during any process.

Now this may sound like I won’t work on resales and that’s incorrect. I will, and I do it confidently - it’s just not what I choose as my main area of expertise. And good thing that gets to be MY choice 😉. I know that I am the most devoted agent/broker my clients could have - and when I don’t have the tools for something, I acquire them or pull in someone who does.
