POV: Your Realtor wants you to have the dream house… and your lender wants to make sure you can keep it 😂🏡.

The backyard? Yes.
The dinner parties? Yes.
The payment? Let’s talk about that first. 👀

A successful home purchase isn’t just about getting the keys — it’s about creating a plan that works long after closing day.

Charleston is one of my favorite weekend trips from Charlotte. Whether you’re planning a girls’ trip, a couples getaway, or just need a change of scenery, here’s my go-to list:

☕ Coffee: Harken Café, The Surf Shack/Sunlit Coffee Co, Babas
🥐 Breakfast/Brunch: Island Provisions, Millers All Day, Holey City Bagels
🦪 Lunch & Dinner: Leon’s Oyster Shop, Edmund’s Original for a lot of gf options, Sorelle, Halls, 167 Raw
🍸 Cocktails: The Citrus Club, Thoroughbred Club, Legami
🏖️ Beach: Sullivan’s Island for a quieter vibe or Folly Beach for more surf town vibe.
🛍️ Don’t Miss: Walk King Street, Rainbow Row, The Battery, and Waterfront Park.

One of the best parts about living in Charlotte is having incredible weekend destinations like Charleston just a short drive away. It’s the kind of trip you’ll want to take again and again.

Where can two buyers in the same Charlotte neighborhood spend $300,000… or $2 million?

📍The answer is Dilworth.

As one of Charlotte’s oldest and most sought-after neighborhoods (and my personal favorite), Dilworth offers something that’s becoming increasingly rare: historic charm, unbeatable walkability, mature tree-lined streets, and a location just minutes from Uptown and South End.

That’s why you’ll find everything from condos in the low-to-mid $300s to multi-million dollar historic homes—all within the same neighborhood.

The price difference isn’t just about square footage. It’s about lifestyle, architecture, land, and buying into one of Charlotte’s most established neighborhoods.

And because there will never be “more Dilworth,” demand has remained strong for decades.

If you’re wondering whether Dilworth is the right fit for you, I’d be happy to help you navigate the options.

✨ The Crown Jewel of Myers Park ✨

Luxury living has a new address. Set on a private half-acre in one of Charlotte’s most coveted neighborhoods, 1919 Shoreham Drive is a custom-built masterpiece by WK Phipps, spanning 7,374 sq ft of pure sophistication. From the slate roof and slurry brick exterior to the resort-style backyard, no detail was spared.

The Highlights:
🍴Chef’s Kitchen: Wolf & Sub-Zero appliances, full-height wine fridge, & massive walk-in pantry.

🛏️ Main-Level Primary Sanctuary: Spa-inspired bath, dual-head glass shower, & a jaw-dropping custom closet with its own laundry.

☀️ Outdoor Oasis: Heated saltwater pool & spa, turf lawn, and a luxury covered cabana with a wood-burning fireplace, infrared heaters, and automated screens.

✨ Bonus Spaces: 4 ensuite guest rooms, 3rd-floor bonus room, plus a detached 4-car garage with a fully appointed guest suite (perfect for a gym or home office).

⚡️ Smart & Future-Proof: Control4 automation, Sonos sound, backup generator, and a Tesla EV charger.

Minutes from SouthPark’s premier dining, top-tier schools, and Uptown Charlotte. This isn’t just a home—it’s a lifestyle.

Can you really spend an afternoon in South End Charlotte with just $100? 👀

I gave it a shot—starting with coffee at notjustcoffee in Atherton Mill, grabbing lunch at Salted Melon Market & Eatery, exploring a few local shops, and ending the day with patio drinks... all without needing my car.

One of the biggest reasons people love living in South End Charlotte is how walkable it is.

Coffee, restaurants, shopping, breweries, and the Rail Trail are all just a short walk away, making it one of the most convenient neighborhoods in Charlotte.

If you’re thinking about moving to South End Charlotte or you’re curious what everyday life here actually feels like, this is exactly the lifestyle people move here for.

✨ My favorite South End spots:
☕ Coffee: notjustcoffee (Atherton Mill)
🥗 Lunch: Salted Melon Market & Eatery
🍣 Dinner: YUNTA
🍸 Patio drinks: Indaco Charlotte or Chapter 6
🛍️ Bonus stops: Boem and Bookout Blooms

What’s your go-to spot in South End? Or which one are you trying first? 👇

📩 Thinking about buying or moving to South End Charlotte? Send me a message—I’d love to help you find the neighborhood that’s the best fit for your lifestyle.

That’s the standard I hold myself to, no matter the situation. ⁣

When you’re ready to work with an agent that’s more focused on getting YOU the win, my DMs are always open.⁣

Who’s moving to Charlotte right now? 👀

It’s not just population growth — Charlotte is attracting finance executives, tech professionals, and medical specialists looking for long-term opportunity, lifestyle, and strategic real estate investments.

Areas like Dilworth and SouthPark continue to stand out because they offer:
✔️ Close proximity to major employers
✔️ Strong home values and established communities
✔️ Walkability, convenience, and luxury living options

From historic homes in Dilworth to executive-style living in SouthPark, buyers are being intentional about where they plant roots — and that says a lot about where demand is heading next.

Charlotte isn’t just growing. It’s becoming a magnet for high-level talent.

If you’re watching the Charlotte real estate market, pay attention to where people with options are choosing to live.
