Hello! I’m John McEntyre, and I want to thank you for visiting Charlotte NC Living, my online voice where I share my thoughts about Life and Real Estate in (and sometimes around) the Charlotte Metro Area. I am also host of "The John McEntyre Show," a personal finance television show. I have been a Broker/Realtor in Charlotte since 1998. I work hard in helping our clients with buying, selling and

renting homes and properties. I love using the all forms of media and technology in any way I can to meet people, keep in touch with friends and clients, showcase houses, and bring information to my clients. I am very active in the industry, and I’ve had the opportunity to speak and teach at various real estate and financial workshops, I’ve appeared on numerous popular radio and television programs across the country, and I been featured in the our local trade journal. I have also had the privilege of coaching other real estate agents and business owners in achieving both business and personal success. As a television host, I was nominated by the National Association of Realtors for the “H.O.P.E. Award,” an award given to Realtors who use media to inform and educate the public on buying and selling real estate. In 2007 I was inducted in the Who’s Who of Business. I am a member of the Charlotte Regional Realtors Association, the North Carolina Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors, and the Association of Financial Counseling and Planning Education. On a personal note, I am a husband to Andrea, father to Bella, and friend to many. I also volunteer as a financial coach at Hoskins Park Ministries, where I help their clients get their finances in shape.

So, Mayor Lyles is stepping back from public service to focus on family and make room for the next generation of leaders. Thank you for all you have done for the Charlotte Metro.

Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles plans to step down less than halfway through her latest term leading the nation’s 14th-largest city.

The five-term Democrat will resign June 30, spokesperson LaToya Evans said in a statement. Lyles will not run for another term in 2027, according to a news release. “Serving as Charlotte’s mayor has been the honor of my life,” Lyles said in a statement.
