Maria O’Boyle, SPS (Strategic Pricing Specialist), BPO (Broker Pricing Opinion), licensed in NC/SC is a native of Managua, Nicaragua, and moved to North Carolina in 1975. She then received a BA in Chemistry from UNC-Charlotte and a Medical Tech degree from Carolinas Medical Center. For the next 18 years, Maria worked for Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte (now Novant Health) as a Technical & Education Specialist in Hematology. Soon after Maria arrived in Charlotte, she fell in love with not only the Queen City, but her now-husband, Jimmy O’Boyle. Together Maria and Jimmy have raised their son & daughter in Charlotte – they are both graduates of the local Catholic school system (know as MACS – Mecklenburg Area Catholic Schools). Maria is a member of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce as well as the Latin America Charlotte Chamber. She is also a successful fund-raising volunteer having raised funds over the past several years for the John Paul II Technical Institute in Nicaragua to help break the cycle of poverty among families there. She is also a business sponsor of the LAWA (Latin American Women’s Association) Carnival, La Noticia Excelente Award Event, member of the College of Charleston Parents Advisory Council, and a member of the United States Naval Academy Foundation Presidents Circle. When Maria and Jimmy decided to build their dream home in 2006, Maria realized her love of real estate and became a graduate of Superior School of Real Estate in Charlotte. This profession has provided Maria the opportunity to work with clients in both buying an selling their own dream homes! Maria is a member of the local and national REALTOR associations, Carolina MLS, an active parishioner and volunteer at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, and a regular at the Siskey Y in Matthews!
