Closing Day! 🏡

I met this lovely couple on January 19, 2026. They were visiting from Long Island, NY, spending time with family and simply exploring the possibility of North Carolina living. Our first meeting was very casual… “just looking,” getting a feel for the area, and considering what the future might look like.

At the time, they told me they were thinking maybe five years down the road before making a move.

But then… this gorgeous home hit the market. And everything changed.

They fell in love with it almost instantly. Before long, they sold their New York home to their daughter, packed up their lives, and TONIGHT they’ll spend their very first night in their beautiful new North Carolina home!

Moments like these are why I love what I do. Helping people write new chapters, chase new dreams, and plant new roots never gets old.

I’ve got to be honest… this closing hit a little different.

Don’t get me wrong — every closing is special, appreciated, and meaningful in its own way. But this one? Whew. I’m truly proud of this one.

This journey started back during the pandemic when Pastor Davon Alexander — someone I’ve known for more than 20 years — reached out to me to help TrueLife Fellowship Church find a permanent home. At the time, the church had been leasing space for years, while faithfully praying and believing for something of their own.

What followed was a long journey filled with prayer, patience, property tours, optimism, moments of frustration, and constant reminders that God was in control the entire time.

In 2025, we finally found what seemed to be the perfect facility. Over the course of eight months, we submitted THREE offers on the property. The first two were declined after the seller accepted other contracts that ultimately fell apart during due diligence.

But what’s meant to be will be.

In February 2026, we successfully secured the property under contract for several hundred thousand dollars BELOW list price — creating a strong equity position for the church from day one. On top of that, I was able to negotiate a brand-new $50,000 roof for the buyer, paid for entirely by the seller.

Pastor Davon, congratulations again! It has truly been an honor to walk alongside you and TrueLife Fellowship Church through this process. I can’t wait to see what God does through this ministry in its new home.
