She was raised in the building / real estate industry from childhood and has been mentored by her mother, Sherrie Boan, also a team member and broker with Allen Tate for 22 years. With a desire to help those in need, her educational background comes from UNC-Chapel Hill with degrees in both Psychology and Exercise & Sports Science. She then went on to complete her Master’s Degree in Counseling at UNC-Charlotte. Coupling her childhood background with her educational background, real estate was a natural “fit” in regards to the platform in which she now exercises her love of “helping” others through counseling them with their real estate needs. Sherrie Boan, team member and original leader of the Boan Group, is the foundation upon which this team was built. Her reputation proceeds her with not just her clients, but also her colleagues, who view her as as the ultimate “red penguin,” a term used within the Allen Tate family to showcase exemplary knowledge, unparalleled service and standing out above the rest. Sherrie was part of of a family-owned construction business for twenty-three years before becoming a REALTOR. A graduate of The University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 1999, Meg became a licensed real estate agent the same year. Her career began in new home sales, where she was recognized as a top producer before taking time off to be at home with her two children. A long-time resident of Raleigh, she resides in the North Hills area with her husband, Brian, an executive in the home building industry.
