Born and raised in Charleston South Carolina she moved with her family to North Carolina in 1985. Graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Bachelor of Science in Human Environmental Sciences. One of her sons was diagnosed on the autism spectrum at the age of 3. Now a teen, Dee is very attune to not only the autism community but care of and community for special needs children.
