Over the past several weekends, Camp North End has been the backdrop for several unauthorized teen takeovers that continue growing, disrupting property operations, and negatively impacting our tenant businesses. This ongoing national trend poses a danger to both our community as well as those participating in the gatherings, and we will not tolerate this disruptive behavior.
After many thoughtful discussions with our tenants, CMPD, and private security provider, Marksman Security, we’ve determined the need for heightened safety measures. This includes adding a 6 p.m. curfew for unsupervised minors under the age of 18 to our Code of Conduct and implementing a strategic plan for enhanced weekend security coverage. Starting this evening, in collaboration with local law enforcement and Marksman, we will have a large presence of off-duty police officers as well as additional security personnel onsite to help re-direct unchaperoned minors in accordance with the new policy. Through these actions, we aim to curb the issue and ensure Camp remains an inviting environment.
The safety and well-being of our guests, tenants, and employees remains our top priority. Everyone, including youth, is welcome to enjoy the property as intended: a vibrant gathering place for all.
