Thinking about selling this summer? Here are three things buyers are looking for right now:

✅ Move-in ready spaces — minor repairs and fresh paint go a long way
✅ Outdoor living areas — patios, screened porches, and well-kept landscaping
✅ Energy efficiency — newer HVAC, updated windows, and smart thermostats

You don't need a full renovation to attract strong offers, but a little preparation up front makes a real difference. Reach out if you're thinking about listing, I'd love to walk through it with you.

A neighborhood I always love showing: Dilworth.

Tree-lined streets, historic bungalows and Craftsman homes, walkable to South End, and just minutes from Uptown. The character of Dilworth is hard to replicate, and the community feel is something residents really treasure.

Whether you're drawn to the architecture, the walkability, or the proximity to everything, Dilworth continues to be one of Charlotte's most beloved neighborhoods.

Trends come and go, but some design choices truly stand the test of time. Here are a few classics I see in beautiful homes again and again:

🤍 Neutral palettes — soft creams, warm whites, and muted tones that let everything else breathe
🪵 Natural wood — bringing warmth and texture into any space
🛋️ Slipcovered furniture — comfortable, livable, and endlessly adaptable
🖼️ A well-curated gallery wall — collected over time, never just bought
🌿 Real greenery — fresh stems or a leafy houseplant instantly elevates a room
🕯️ Quality lighting — table lamps, sconces, and dimmers over harsh overhead light
📚 Books, baskets, and a thoughtful mix of old and new

The most beautiful homes feel collected, not decorated. What's one classic element you'll always love?

Summer entertaining season is here, and I love seeing how people make their outdoor spaces feel like an extension of their home.

A few simple ways to elevate yours:

🌿 Add string lights or lanterns for that warm evening glow
🪑 Layer in outdoor pillows and a throw or two for texture
🪴 Group potted plants in odd numbers for visual interest
🥂 Set up a dedicated drinks station, even a small bar cart works

Small touches, big impact. What's your favorite way to use your outdoor space in the summer?

The summer farmers' market season is in full swing! A few of my favorites around Charlotte:

🍓 Matthews Community Farmers Market — Saturdays, year-round 🥬 Davidson Farmers Market — Saturdays, a true community staple
🌽 Atherton Market — South End gem
🥕 Waxhaw Farmers Market — Saturdays, charming and worth the drive

Shopping local is good for the community, good for your kitchen, and honestly just a great way to spend a Saturday morning.

🌿 One of the best ways to enjoy summer in Charlotte? Spend an evening at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden.

With themed gardens, walking paths, and seasonal exhibits, it's the perfect spot for a quiet evening stroll or weekend outing. Their summer hours make it easy to escape after work, too.

Located just over the line in Belmont, it's well worth the short drive!

Curb appeal matters, especially in the summer when buyers are out and about.
A few easy ways to make your home shine from the street:

🌼 Refresh mulch and trim the hedges
🚪 Paint or update your front door hardware
💡 Replace any burnt-out exterior lights
🌿 Add seasonal plants or fresh potted flowers near the entry
🧹 Pressure wash walkways and driveway

These small projects can be done in a weekend and make a real difference, whether you're selling soon or just love a polished look.

June is National Homeownership Month, and it always reminds me why I love this work.

A home isn't just an investment. It's where your kids learn to ride bikes in the driveway, where you host Thanksgiving for the first time, where you grow into the next chapter of your life.

Whether you're a first-time buyer, a seasoned homeowner, or somewhere in between, this month is a great reminder of how much a home can mean. If you're thinking about your next move, let's chat.
