If you’re looking for something fun to do with the family this summer, don’t overlook Riverbanks Zoo & Garden in Columbia.

Between the animal exhibits, giraffe feeding, educational demonstrations, playgrounds, splash areas, the botanical gardens, and the Saluda Skyride, there’s enough here to easily make a full day out of it.

I’ve visited several times, and it’s still one of my favorite family-friendly attractions in South Carolina.

This community is located just north of Charlotte, about 20 minutes from Uptown, with homes starting in the low $300s.

The builder occasionally releases “Homes of the Week,” and the most recent one sold for just $389,000.

With the right financing and incentives, the monthly payment could have been under $2,000 per month. In today’s market, that’s pretty incredible.
