🏡 Some closings are about more than just real estate. I recently had the privilege of closing on a home in Charlotte’s Westerly Hills neighborhood — this time as the listing agent. But my connection to this particular house goes back much further than this transaction.

About 15 years ago, I first visited this home while helping my client’s parents sell an investment property. At the time, they were living here, and their daughter had grown up in the house. Years later, she moved back to stay with her mother, and eventually the time came for her to begin a new chapter of her own.

She was an absolute joy to work with. She had taken wonderful care of the home, and it was clear throughout the process that this wasn’t just a house — it was a place filled with memories and a lot of life.

And then there were the hummingbirds. 🐦
They were already visiting the feeder when I first came to the house 15 years ago, and when I stopped by to pick up my sign after closing, there they were again — still being fed, still coming back.

Some things change. Some things move on. And some things, thankfully, remain.
