Finding a home that checks every box in Indian Land is becoming a rare feat in this market, but 1113 Bassett Way manages to do exactly that. From a market perspective, this property stands out for its thoughtful layout and high-end finishes, but the real showstopper is the rare 3-car garage—a premium feature that’s increasingly hard to find in this area.
Whether you’re looking for extra storage, a dedicated hobby space, or just the convenience of a larger footprint, this home delivers a level of utility that most standard listings miss. Inside, the design is all about effortless flow and natural light, creating an environment that feels both sophisticated and incredibly livable.
If you’ve been watching the Indian Land inventory, you know that properties with this specific set of upgrades don’t stay available for long. It’s a sophisticated choice for anyone who values both form and function.

🌊 Ever heard of Mountain Island Lake? Most people relocating to Charlotte haven’t, and that’s exactly what makes it such a hidden gem.
Tucked between Charlotte, Huntersville, and Gastonia, Mountain Island Lake is a 3,300-acre reservoir sitting just northwest of Uptown, close enough to the city, far enough to breathe. Think kayaks, herons, and morning mist on the water.
One of the most sought-after addresses there is The Overlook — an established lakeside community off Mt. Holly-Huntersville Road in Charlotte (zip 28216). Here’s what you’ll typically find:
šŸ” Spacious homes ranging from roughly 2,600 to 5,000+ sq ft 🌳 Lots of at least half an acre - real breathing room šŸ›„ļø Some homes come with deeded boat slips or community lake access šŸ³ Upscale finishes: gourmet kitchens, architectural details, beautiful outdoor spaces šŸ’° Price range generally $800K–$1.3M+
For families relocating from Germany or elsewhere in Europe, the scale and greenery here often feels surprisingly familiar without the density of city living.
If you’re scouting Charlotte and want to know which neighborhoods actually fit your lifestyle, that’s exactly what I love helping with. Drop me a message or visit the link in my bio. šŸ”

✨ Another glamorous day in the life of a realtor… ✨

Sipping my latte, sunglasses on, ready to float through another stunning Charlotte home like I’m in a Compass marketing video. šŸ”šŸ’…

Cut to reality:

It’s rainy, it’s gray, and I’m on I-485 behind someone who apparently got their licence from the fair. šŸš—šŸ˜¤

We arrive at the property. Lovely home. Gorgeous lot. And yes, it comes with a boat slip. How wonderful! How luxurious! How… deeply in the woods, down a muddy path, through what I can only describe as a small forest situation.

On go the wellies. 🄾

There I am, mascara surviving on sheer determination alone. squelching through the trees, branches in my hair, rain down my neck, trying to find the boat slip. šŸ¦†ā›µļø

But you know what? We found it. It’s beautiful and it was worth it!

And if anyone needs me, I’ll be in my car with the heat on full, picking bugs out of my hair!

This is the life. Wouldn’t trade it. šŸ˜‚ā¤ļø

Most homeowners in Charlotte obsess over the listing price but overlook the clock that starts ticking once their home goes ā€œlive.ā€
I’ve watched it happen many times...
A beautiful home, priced just slightly off, sits for 25 days, then buyers start circling like it’s a clearance rack.
The conversation goes from ā€œwhat’s this home worth?ā€ to ā€œwhat’s wrong with it?ā€
Nothing changed about the house...except the perception of it.
What I tell every homeowner I work with: your first few weeks on the market are your best negotiating tool.
Better than upgrades. Better than staging. Better than any price adjustment you’ll make later.
You don’t get that window back.
I’m Martina Linford, a real estate agent in Charlotte, helping sellers move with a plan.
If you’re thinking about selling in Charlotte this year, I’d love to talk through what a strong listing strategy looks like.
As always, my inbox is open for your questions.

Summer is one of the most competitive times to buy in Charlotte

The kids are out of school, some people have more work flexibility, and inventory levels are stable.

Here’s what I want you to know if you’re thinking about making a move in Charlotte this summer...

The best ones move fast. Be ready to move quickly, have your financing locked, and your priorities clear.

Homeowners selling in the summer are often working around tight deadlines.

School starting, a job change, or a move already in motion. When we understand what they need, we can structure an offer that stands out without necessarily paying more.

Competition can create pressure to cut corners. A bidding war doesn’t mean the house is perfect. Protect yourself and get the inspection.

A summer move is absolutely doable. You just need to go in prepared (with an experienced agent on your side!)

Thinking about making a move this summer in Charlotte? Send me a DM and let’s make a plan. #
