Stonington HOA, wanted to share this job opportunity:

Carowinds, the premier entertainment destination of the Carolinas, is partnering with City of Charlotte and Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) to host a Job Fair this Saturday February 9, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Carowinds Employment Office.

The park is looking to fill positions ranging from admissions and cash services to games, food and beverage, and ride operations.

Prospective associates should apply online in advance at carowinds.jobs. All applicants must be at least 16 years of age to apply.

Hello Stonington,

We’d like to give an update on what’s happening at Stonington. We are applying for funding to assist with the cost of major projects; this is a tedious process with several required workshops and classes that must be completed before funding is awarded. We have completed the required workshops and classes for completion of the first part of the process.

Our plan is to resurface all roads and repaint the parking spaces; this work will be completed in phases. This is a huge undertaking of substantial cost which we could not accomplish without the additional funding. Upon completion of the paving work it is our view to address other must needed maintenance projects.

We should have a date, time and place for the 2017 annual meeting very soon.

Thank you in advance for your patience and “support” as we work to improve the quality of life for everyone that lives in Stonington.
