I loved seeing Community House Middle School featured in South Charlotte Neighbors magazine — this one is especially close to my heart. ❤️

Both of my kids spent all three of their middle school years at Community House, and we were so fortunate to have Principal Slattery there for those years.

If you know him, you know what makes him so special. He is simply PRESENT. Every morning, he’s out there greeting families as they come through the car line. He’s at the games, the events and everywhere in between. I saw him on the sidelines time and time again supporting our kids. That’s what always stood out to me. He truly treats every one of those kids like they are his own.

Middle school is such an important time in a child’s life, and having someone like Principal Slattery leading the way makes a difference. Along with Assistant Principal Cobb, Community House has two people who genuinely care about their students, their families and this community.

So well deserved, and so fun to see a school and people who have meant so much to our family getting some love! ❤️

Ardrey Kell High School has been ranked No. 13 in the state on U.S. News & World Report’s 2026 Best High Schools List, released August 18.

This is the school our family has attended for the past five years, with one of our girls now entering her sophomore year. We have had such a wonderful experience and truly think it is a fantastic school. It is just another reason so many families love calling Ballantyne home.

I recently came across this spot at The Arboretum, and the menu sounds like something worth checking out. Think shrimp and grits served over a biscuit, chicken and waffles, signature beignets, fresh squeezed orange juice, and $20 mimosa crafts.

Charlotte Market Review | July 2026 🏡

Here are a few key takeaways from the July market:

🏡 The Charlotte market remained somewhat competitive, with some homes still receiving multiple offers.

📈 Home prices continued to show steady growth, with the median sale price reaching approximately $434,740, up 2.3% compared to the same time last year.

⏳ Homes took around 48 days to sell on average, which was slightly longer than the previous year and gave buyers more time to consider their options.

🤝 Buyers gained a little more room to negotiate, as homes sold for an average of 98.8% of their asking price. At the same time, well priced and well presented homes continued to attract strong interest.

📍 The Charlotte market continued to offer opportunities for both buyers and sellers. Every neighborhood experienced its own unique conditions, so understanding your local market remained an important part of making a confident move.
