Blake Benfield
Originally from Roanoke, Virginia, Blake Benfield started her real estate career in new construction with Gumenick Properties in 2001. As Project and Closing Coordinator, Benfield worked directly with buyers and sales teams drawing up plans, aiding in the permitting process, meeting with clients to discuss design choices, working on pre-punch list items and closing coordination. In
2003 it was time to spearhead a career SELLING real estate. Benfield became a licensed broker and landed with national leader, RE/Max Executive Realty. Here, she gained experience across all types of real estate transactions – single family, condos, townhomes, multi-family, lots, etc. In a decade, Benfield had quickly built a career and a reputation as hardworking, dedicated and a great listener – her approachable demeanor always making everyone feel comfortable. In 2013, Benfield joined Berkshire Hathaway Home Services, a new franchise brand that joins the existing brands and affiliate networks of Prudential Real Estate and Real Living Real Estate. At Berkshire Hathaway, Benfield leverages her intimate knowledge of the nuances of the many pockets that comprise Charlotte’s diverse neighborhoods where she both worked AND lived in the past 10 years. These areas include Plaza-Midwood, Dilworth, Southend, NODA, Elizabeth, Uptown, Myers Park and Southpark. Benfield just recently moved to the Waterview district after purchasing a beautiful craftsman style home there with her husband and basset hound, Lady. Yet another new market niche to explore and specialize in! She also owns a Cape Cod rental property in Virginia and condo in Charlotte’s Southend neighborhood. Benfield’s professional adage is, “My clients goals become my goals with customer service as a top priority. It is also essential everyone involved in a transaction is united and feels comfortable throughout the process. I am always honest, upfront and hardworking, making sure that all parties are satisfied by the end result and avoiding any bumps along the road.”
Known for her smooth transactions, Benfield routinely unites all sides of the real estate process, creating a seamless operation for her clients. She is approachable and adaptive, working well with all personality types. Benfield is a licensed broker in both North and South Carolina. She also holds a degree in Corporate Communications from Elon University.

Todd Wise
Todd Wise started selling real estate in the late-90s in the beach and desert communities of Southern California’s largest family owned real estate company, Tarbell Realtors. It was natural fit for Wise since he had always networked closely, personally and professionally, with realtors and other professionals in industries related to home ownership including interior design, financing, construction, and remodeling. His clients quickly valued his planning, negotiating and resource management skills learned from managing large scale projects for Wal-Mart for five years prior to joining Tarbell. In 2005 Wise joined Prudential Real Estate, where he developed a specialty for representing both buyers and sellers of mid-century modern architectural homes, coastal properties, resort homes, luxury vacation rentals and country club community properties. This mid-to-high end market command adapted from a routine regiment of closely watching local and national real estate trends with daily previews of property, exhaustive online research and, of course, grassroot conversations with property owners and residents. In a market known for the county’s most “particular” client, Wise earned his rank as Producer. In 2009 Wise returned to his native southern roots in Charlotte as it was always part of his “big picture” plan to come home and live again near family. In 2013 Berkshire Hathaway Homes Services, known for its high quality agents and superb online and offline marketing programs, recruited Wise to represent clients in the burgeoning greater-Charlotte economy. As a property owner and investor in Charlotte real estate since early 2000s, Wise has earned notoriety in established neighborhoods of Meyers Park, Southpark, Cotswold, Dilworth, as well as in the growing villages of Plaza-Midwood, Uptown and Southend; where he currently owns a historic loft. Todd’s philosophy on Berkshire Hathaway – “The best thing about working at this agency is the synergy and support I from both management AND our marketing/business development department. It’s also a fun environment – which fits in with my personal style of only doing things that are personally rewarding.”
Tackling widely changing economic conditions and disparate markets over the course of his highly successful career makes Wise a respected and trusted advisor to a savvy group of buyers and investors. Known by his clients as steadfast, confident and a natural communicator, Todd is considered “raw talent.” His negotiation and trend projection is only matched by constant accessibility and availability. Like a good detective, Wise is careful, methodical and very persistent.
