It takes courage and heart to fuel real change. Lashawn Flowers and her daughter Shanita Vickers dreamed bigger than anyone expected. After running a salon and lounge, the pandemic brought new challenges that made them rethink their path for their family’s future. Most people would have stopped, but they saw an opportunity and moved fast.

In just three weeks, they worked side by side to secure not one but two Shell gas stations, becoming the only Black-owned gas station owners in all of Hollywood, Florida, and possibly all of South Florida. Their journey is more than a business story—it’s a story of family, faith, and breaking barriers for everyone who watches them.

Lashawn and Shanita are now going viral for their strength and vision, inspiring parents and children everywhere. Their bond and bravery show that when you lift each other up, anything is possible. This is a new chapter for their community, one pump at a time.
