Living in Charlotte changed how I travel.
I moved here 10 years ago from California, where leaving the state felt like a whole trip on its own. From the Carolinas? I've been to New York, DC, Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida, multiple times, without it ever feeling like a production. The Caribbean and Europe are genuinely accessible in a way they never were from the West Coast.
And CLT is the reason.
Here's what most locals don't realize about the airport in their backyard:

🇺🇸 7th in North America for total passengers
👥 53.6 million passengers in 2025 & the number keeps climbing
