Steve has lived in Charlotte for the past 36 years. He grew up in Florida and fell in love with North Carolina during his summer breaks. The day after graduating from Florida State University with a B.S. in Biology (plant sciences), he moved to Charlotte and has been here all but three years with a short stay in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to joining Rinehart Realty, Steve spent 37 years selling and d
esigning commercial greenhouses and growing systems for growers in the southeast. He has traveled most of his career in a multi–state territory. He spent 31 years as the Territory Sales Manager for Stuppy, Inc. and the past few years as the Sales Director for the Van Wingerden Greenhouse Company. Steve also designed greenhouses for a new vertical aeroponic growing system for Astra Resources and was the Sales Director for them. He has also enjoyed working with the Boy Scouts of America as Assistant Scout Master for 3 years and was head of the BBQ fundraiser for Troop 11. Nicknamed "Boss Hog", he developed the written word for cooking 2 tons of pork for the Troop and for his successor. He is also a volunteer for Charlotte Works as a Job team facilitator to help the unemployed. He also enjoys spending time hunting, golfing, and gardening – especially growing roses. Steve and his wife, Teresa, have two daughters, a son, and black Lab named Rose.
