Relocating to a new city is about so much more than finding the right house.

It's about finding the community that feels like home.
One of my favorite parts of working with relocation clients is introducing them to the Charlottesville area. In fact, I routinely spend time giving personalized real estate tours to people who are considering a move here…even before they're ready to start looking at homes. It's a chance to explore different communities, talk through priorities, and get a feel for what everyday life might look like.

Every neighborhood has its own personality, pace, and charm, and what feels like the perfect fit is different for everyone. More often than not, clients discover they love an area they hadn't even considered.

Some closings are about so much more than buying a house.

This family's journey with me began when they came to Charlottesville for a job interview at UVA. Once they decided Charlottesville would be home, they opted to rent so they could get to know the area before deciding where they wanted to put down roots.

Over the past year, I've had the privilege of helping them navigate that journey, and this week, after coordinating the purchase of their new home alongside the sale of their home in Texas, we finally made it to the closing table.

One of my favorite parts of this job is that so many clients become friends. Being trusted to walk alongside families through such an important season of life is something I'll never take for granted.

Need a place to celebrate America’s 250th birthday? Here are my top spots to watch fireworks in the Cville area this 4th of July!

Cville Spectacular Fireworks
This gorgeous display of fireworks is launching from Carter Mountain at 9 pm this July 4th! There are many free places to view with the whole family, as well as some businesses such as UP on the Roof, and Carter Mountain Orchard hosting events surrounding the fireworks!

Independence Celebration
This celebration is happening at Boar’s Head all day on July 4th! Starting at 4 pm there will be food, live music, and a fireworks show at 9 pm! Tickets are required, be sure to purchase in advance! See more info at Boar’s Head Website.

Scottsville Independence Day Parade and Celebration
Looking for all day patriotic fun? Check out the Scottsville parade starting at 9 am and following Route 20 to all day activities and celebrations!

Crozet Independence Day Celebration
Hosted by King Family Vineyard is a celebration including a parade at 5 pm, activities at 6 pm, and fireworks at 9 pm! Check out details at King Family Vineyard’s website.

Happy Birthday America
Carter Mountain Orchard has a fun evening lined up from 5:30 pm to 9 pm hosted by Chile’s Family Orchard. Check out their website for event specifics and ticket details!
