Honoring Juneteenth ❤️🖤💚
Today, we recognize and celebrate Juneteenth, a significant day in our nation's history that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States.
On June 19, 1865, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed, Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, and informed the last enslaved Black Americans that they were free. Juneteenth stands as a powerful reminder of resilience, progress, and the ongoing pursuit of equality.
As we reflect on this important day, we join our community in honoring the history, contributions, and enduring legacy of Black Americans. Wishing everyone a meaningful and reflective Juneteenth.
