When rates drop, more buyers jump back into the market. More demand competing for the same number of homes often leads to higher prices, multiple offers, and fewer opportunities to negotiate.
The result? You may save on the interest rate but pay more for the house.
A lower rate doesn't always mean a lower payment if home prices increase at the same time.
The best time to buy is when you're financially ready, not when you're trying to perfectly predict the market.
