BIG NEWS! The FHFA has increased the conforming loan limits for 2022 by 18% over 2021. The new conforming loan limit for a one-unit home in 2022 will be $647,200 compared to $548,250 this year. It is the largest percentage jump seen this century. The second largest jump in conforming loan limits was seen in 2006, when it rose 15.9% to $417,000 from $359,650. This is great news to keep more buyers out of a jumbo loan.
