I had the pleasure and privilege of working alongside my beautiful sister-in-love, Tacia Taylor, for The Met Meets Manna: Who You Wearing Gala. From doing her hair to helping get some of the other ladies ready for the fashion show, I was grateful to play a small part in such an AMAZING event. 💜
I truly love empowering, encouraging, and helping other women shine. And I’m so thankful to be married into such a beautiful family.
One of the most special moments of the evening was watching Manna Unlimited give away the Momma Connie Scholarship in honor of my mother-in-love. 🥹 She was THEE best mother-in-love I could have ever prayed for. We miss her dearly, but to see her name, her love, and her legacy continue to bless someone else was beautiful. Her legacy truly lives on. ❤️
The entire evening was AMAZING—the models, the emcee, the singing, the DJ, the food, and all of the family and friends who showed love in so many different ways. Everybody played a part!
But there was also a message in the evening that spoke directly to me. I was reminded that with God, my temptations, my fears, and anything else that gets placed on me can be removed. What may feel heavy doesn’t have to stay attached to me.
And my canvas is still beautiful. My canvas is still purposeful. My canvas is still God’s masterpiece.
Because joy comes in the morning… and sometimes, joy can even come in the mourning. 🙌🏾❤️
What a beautiful reminder that even through loss, God can turn our mourning into purpose and allow a legacy to continue blessing generations.
