POPULATION GROWTH: A study shared by UTC shows that the Chattanooga metro area's population is growing at double the national rate.

Our area's population is expected to pass 600,000 residents this summer.

DO YOU KNOW THE HISTORY? The land where the new Lookouts stadium now stands sat empty for two decades, becoming a graffiti-covered eyesore people driving along I-24 couldn’t ignore.

Before that, though, was the bustling Wheland Foundry and U.S. Pipe Company.

The former foundry employees have been meeting up annually since it shut down after 136 years of operation.
