Are you holding off to purchase until house prices "drop"? Have you considered the opportunity cost of buying now vs. later? It is not probable that house prices will drop-they will likely stabilize as we continue into the new year. But rates? That is the real question. As the market stabilizes, interest rates are likely to increase which would cause your monthly payments to be higher....even with a lower price. Something you should consider as you make plans for your financial future.
