I opened my escrow analysis expecting the usual “Surprise! Your payment is going up” message… but instead, it said my payment is going down by $228.54 per month!

Before I start mentally spending this “extra” money, let me remind myself (and you) that this was an assessment year… which means next year’s analysis might just sn**ch that money right back. Fun while it lasted, right?

Moral of the story? If your escrow analysis ever shows a lower payment, it might be smart to leave that extra money with your lender—just in case taxes or insurance bump it back up next time. But hey, at least for now, I can say my mortgage payment technically went down!
