Y'all, the first time I tried to buy a house was an absolute nightmare. The agents I called wouldn't explain anything to me, I had no idea about agency, and I kind of gave up. I bought my first house from family and was still clueless.

When my landlord wanted to sell the rental my husband and I lived in we decided to try to buy. My aunt referred me to Laura Young Realtor and it was night and day! Laura answered all of our questions and helped us understand the process. We had a chaotic closing but Laura kept us informed and made us feel as calm as possible while watching our closing try to fall apart. I was ecstatic when we closed! I wanted everyone to know how 'easy' it was to buy a house.

Honestly that experience is a big part of why I eventually got my license. Real estate has given me so much, even when it's hard - and last year was a lot, burnout is real and I needed to take some time away last fall. Every client I got to celebrate with made it worth it all though.

That feeling that Laura gave me? That's what I want for every person I work with. People deserve someone in their corner who actually explains things and actually cares.

Anybody else love a good estate sale?
Today's adventure took me to a stunning home on Signal Mountain. My Honda Hybrid is no friend to hills, so I borrowed my husband's truck thinking I was being smart… until those mountain roads got narrow, the truck started feeling huge, and I remembered — Signal Mountain has zero guardrails.
Anxiety: 100/100. 😅
But that view on the way down? Worth every white-knuckled mile.

Took a drive out to Tellico Plains today to preview a home for a client. It was such a beautiful drive! The mountain views are amazing, there were cattle, donkeys, and horses in the fields, an escaped goat grazing on an embankment by the road. I even spotted a small hawk as I was leaving the property. I love the quiet peaceful drives that are part of my days.
