The Catoosa County Department of Transportation announces the closure of Poplar Springs Road from Alabama Highway to Holcomb Road, beginning Friday, March 15 and continuing into the middle of August so that critical repairs for stormwater drainage can be completed.

CTI Engineers have designed large box culverts to be installed to remedy the flash flooding that forces the closure of Poplar Springs Road.

Motorists are encouraged to follow the posted detour route that includes Alabama Highway and Holcomb Road. Road closures at Poplar Springs Road and Holcomb Road, and Poplar Springs at Alabama Highway will allow through traffic for residents, school traffic, and visitors to businesses and churches. Poplar Springs Road at the work zones will be closed to all traffic.

Parents and school buses for Ringgold Elementary School will continue along Poplar Springs Road to Evitt Lane, while parents and school buses for Ringgold Primary School will use Holcomb Road to Evitt Lane.

The attached map shows where road closed signs will be posted and the detour route along Alabama Highway and Holcomb Road.
