He began to work as a surveyor’s assistant in 1748 at the age of 16, but after only a year, he became a surveyor for the newly created frontier country of Culpepper. There he gained a reputation as an honest, fair and dependable person."

Did you know that in the past, every surveyor used a specific surveying tool that would differ him/her from other surveyors? Or that the first president of the United States, George Washington was a known surveyor and map-maker?

Draftsman: someone with CAD experience, preferably Civil 3D, that can read field notes or has the willingness to learn. This is not an entry level position.

Chainman: someone that has some experience working in the surveying field that has a basic knowledge of field work and has the willingness to work outside in all weather conditions. This is not an entry level position.

Party Chief: someone that has worked in the Survey field for 4+ years that can take directions from our Chief of Parties and lead a crew from start to finish in the field. This is not an entry level position.
