It’s so easy to fall in love...

With a house you just met

But before you marry the home, get the stamp of approval from your agent (trust me)

The second my client sends me a listing, my brain immediately switches into detective mode 🕵🏼

Finding out everything there is to know so we don’t get too far in the process and get your hopes up

I’m pulling the listing history (has it been sitting? price dropped? that tells me a lot) 📈

I’m digging into permit history because that gorgeous renovated kitchen means nothing if it wasn’t done right

I’m checking schools, walkability, what’s being built two lots down that you won’t know about until it’s too late

Basically- by the time I text you back, it’s not just “let’s go see it!”

It’s “let’s go see it, and here’s what you need to know walking in”

This is the part of my job that doesn’t show up on Instagram but honestly might be my favorite part

🔥 Hot take...

Being “good at real estate” and being someone people actually trust with their people are two completely different things

Anyone can unlock a door and pull comps

The real job is being the person your client calls upset because the inspection came back scary, and you actually pick up

It’s telling your first-time buyer, “I know you love this house, but let’s talk about what’s really going on with that roof”

It’s not glamorous. Most of it happens in group texts and voice memos at 9 pm, not on a “just closed” post

When someone sends me their people they’re not just handing me a client- they’re trusting me with someone they love

So I promise

If you send someone my way, I will treat them exactly like I’d want someone to treat you

Okay I have to share something that happened today, because my heart is exploding 💕

A buyer/seller sent me an email earlier asking for more information on how to begin their journey to their next home. We connected, scheduled a buyer consult, and texted a little. When I asked her how she found me, her answer truly made my day.

“…Somehow I came across your Instagram page a few years ago and have been following you for a bit. I could tell by your posts that you really cared for your clients and that stuck with me… I told my husband a couple of years ago that if we ever wanted to sell, I wanted to work with you….”

This could not have been a nicer compliment. I really do care for my people, and try to make each of their journeys feel super special, because IT IS super special. It is more than a paycheck for me, the lifelong relationships I have made through this career have been so much more important than just “selling a house”, and the fact that a total stranger on the internet could feel that through my posts makes me SO HAPPY 💕🥹

My heart is so full 🫶🏼

They knew what they wanted, they listened to advice, they got everything to their lender ASAP, and when we found the perfect house for them, we made an aggressive, strategic offer, and we got it DONE!
