This will be great for the City of Cheney!
The Spokane Parks Foundation is grateful for a generous Inland Power & Light Community Foundation grant for the new multi-million-dollar Cheney Aquatics Center.
We told you when crews broke ground for the project. We can’t wait to see what it looks like as workers near completion later this year.
The new aquatic center will include a recreational pool with a lazy river, a six-lane competition lap pool, a waterslide, and other features. The design plans also call for a 5,000-square-foot pool house with locker rooms, offices for lifeguards and staff, and a community meeting room available for year-round use.
The Parks Foundation partnered with the City of Cheney to help raise money for free programs and additional amenities. You can follow this link to see how you can help family and friends make lasting memories on the water slide, Ninja amenity, and a host of other activities: https://spokaneparksfoundation.org/cheney-pool/
Thank you, Inland Power & Light Community Foundation, for helping us ensure that the Cheney Aquatic Center will be a vital and dynamic part of the West Plains so we can all go "splishing and a’splashin” later this year.
