We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

I still remember exactly where I was. The TV was on in the background as I was getting my two older kids ready for the day, just another morning as a stay at home mom. Then, in a moment, everything changed.

I will never forget where I stood or how I felt.

What others see:

A canceled listing.
A house that didn’t sell.
A transaction that didn’t close.

What I see:

A client who had options.
An honest conversation.
And ultimately, a decision that was right for their life to rent it for now.

When my husband and I opened Signet Realty in 2015, this was a big part of the “why.” I wanted to build a brokerage where I could lead with heart, passion and compassion for the people who trust me with some of their biggest decisions.

I didn’t want to have to call corporate and ask permission to do what I already knew in my heart was right for my client. I wanted the freedom to look at each situation individually and ask one simple question:

What is truly best for the person sitting across from me?

This market has been challenging, and sometimes that means having hard conversations. If continuing to sell is the right choice, I’ll fight hard for it. But if renting the home, waiting, or simply changing direction is better for my seller, I will support that too - even if it means willingly ending my listing agreement.

Because after 21 years in the business I don’t measure every success by a SOLD sign.

Sometimes success is knowing I gave my clients honest advice, put their needs ahead of my own, and helped them make the decision that was right for their life in that moment.

What others may see as a canceled listing, I see as keeping the promise we made when we opened Signet Realty 11 years ago.

This market has been challenging, there’s no denying that. But challenging markets can also create some pretty incredible opportunities for buyers.

So excited for my repeat clients who saw the opportunity and went for it.

But more than the deal, I’m incredibly grateful for the trust they have placed in me over the years of buying and selling. When past clients come back and ask me to walk alongside them through another sale, it means more than I can say.
