Let’s take rates with cushion, because everyone was refinancing/buying at different times: if we consider 4% interest rates everyone got few years ago and 6.5% today - we get mortgage payments as $1.256 and $2.108, it’s $852 difference monthly.
$10k tax credit is covering only one year of difference on your mortgage payment if you buy new house and that’s if you pay taxes 😁 because it’s not a credit, but tax credit.

Should have been done long ago, but how all this mechanism with middle man controlling entire industry is not against Anti Trust Law anyway!!! I’m selling almost $1mil property right now and I gotta keep going up on buyer’s agent commission so they can steer prospects to my listing and not intentionally keep it on a sideline, like WHAT??
I’ll go step further.
I have a lot of friends as RE agents, don’t be offended, but take as an advise: in 15-20 years you will be replaced by independent nationwide platform with in house agents/coordinators complying with state laws, so you need to get prepared.

I don’t get how it still wasn’t done by anyone, could be easily executed by tech companies, it gotta be some heavy lobbing from big brokerages with generational wealth or “elite” sitting in those transactions, but the government always wins so they will get ahold of goldmine.
