This spring break has looked very different for our family. We began with a college tour and are ending with another—because somehow, Jahzier is already closer to college admissions than he is to finishing high school. Our focus has been on HBCUs, and we are truly blessed to be within reach of so many incredible options.
As parents raising a neurodivergent child with multiple diagnoses, this journey has not always been easy—but it has always been meaningful. Every step forward carries a story of resilience, faith, and determination. We don’t take these moments for granted. We cherish them.
Our pastor always says, “Where the world placed a period, God placed a comma.” And that couldn’t be more true for our family. What others may have seen as limitations, God has continued to turn into possibilities.
What a journey this is—and what a blessing it is to walk it alongside Jahzier.
