Last night, my heart was overflowing with pride. Without even telling me, my daughter, Nasia, created the Nasia Thomas Next Act Award Scholarship and awarded it to a deserving graduating senior from a single-parent household to help further his education.
As a parent, there are moments that leave you speechless, and this was one of them. To see her choose to give back, invest in a young person’s future, and create opportunities for someone else is more rewarding than I can put into words.
What makes it even more special is that this young man is graduating from Nasia’s alma mater and will be attending the very same college she graduated from. Talk about a full-circle moment!
Kudos to Nasia for leading with generosity, compassion, and purpose. And congratulations to this outstanding young man as he begins his next chapter. This was the first year, but we’ve already decided that next year we’re going even bigger and better. The future is bright, and I’m beyond proud. ❤️🎓✨
