Help the homeless just by eating out! The HRRA Foundation's REALTORS® Have a Heart volunteer program will present "REALTORS® Have a (Hungry) Heart for Helping the Homeless," a dining night out, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, at restaurants across the region.
The participating eateries will donate 10% of proceeds from the three-hour event to the HRRA Foundation to assist local nonprofits that help the homeless, including veterans.
The participating restaurants are:
- Streats, 915-A W. 21st St., Norfolk
- Vino Italian Bistro, 5200 Fairfield Shopping Center, Virginia Beach
- Tempt Restaurant Lounge, 500 Pinewood Square, Virginia Beach
- TASTE, all locations except Hampton and Richmond (check desired location's hours)
The HRRA Foundation is a charitable nonprofit whose mission is driven by four pillars of community commitment: educating HRRA members and the public about fair housing; working toward alleviating homelessness; advocating for affordable housing; and improving the quality of life of Hampton Roads’ neighborhoods through community service and financial support.
The HRRA Foundation REALTORS® Have a Heart volunteer program holds multiple volunteer events annually, plus drives and activities like REALTORS® Have a (Hungry) Heart for Helping the Homeless, to support the foundation's pillars.
