Last week was one for the books! 🏡✨

🔑 3 closings — three families officially starting their next chapters
🎉 1 more buyer UNDER CONTRACT
🏠 Another closing coming up this week
🚗 And between now and Sunday, I’ll be out showing homes with 6 different buyers across Hampton Roads!

It’s definitely a busy season over here, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. 🤍 There’s something pretty special about getting to be part of so many different real estate journeys at the same time—from the first showing, to getting that offer accepted, all the way to handing over the keys.

September is already starting off BUSY… and I’m here for it! 🙌🏼

Welp… definitely NOT how I planned to end my day of showings. 😡

I’m just minding my own business, driving in the express lane and listening to my book, when an 18-wheeler veers over, hits the barrier posts, and sends them FLYING into my car and the car behind me. 🤦‍♀️

Talk about being PI**ED OFF. 😤

Thankfully, I was able to keep control of my car, nobody wrecked, and no one was hurt. 🙏🏼 My car, unfortunately, did not make it out quite as lucky. 😭

Never a dull moment in real estate… apparently even the drive home has to be eventful. 🫠

Sunday plans: touring pretty houses. 🏡✨

Today’s showings are taking us from Suffolk ➡️ Virginia Beach checking out some fully renovated homes that are move-in ready and looking GOOD. 😍

Fresh kitchens, updated finishes, beautiful bathrooms… basically all the things that make you start mentally arranging your furniture before you’ve even finished the tour. 😂

No Sunday scaries over here…. just keys, showings & helping buyers find the one. 🔑🤍

Some closing gifts just hit a little differently. 🥹❤️

One of my sweet clients hand-painted this for me as a thank-you for helping them find their perfect home, and I seriously can’t get over how thoughtful it is. 🐓🏡

As Realtors, we’re usually the ones giving the closing gifts, so being on the receiving end of something this personal was such a surprise. The fact that they took the time to actually paint it themselves and personalize it with my love of my chickens makes it even more special.

This job is about so much more than contracts, showings, inspections and handing over keys. It’s the people you meet, the relationships you build, and getting to be a small part of such a big chapter in someone’s life.

Needless to say… this one is definitely getting a special spot in my home. ❤️

So incredibly grateful for clients who turn into so much more than just a transaction. 🏡🔑

Sometimes self-care looks like sitting in the salon chair and saying, “I have an idea… but I’m not totally sure what I want, so just have fun.” 😂🤎

I took a little time for myself today and went into my appointment thinking I might want to go brown… but I wasn’t sold on it. I didn’t know exactly what shade I wanted, didn’t have a single inspiration picture, and honestly wasn’t even sure I wouldn’t immediately regret leaving my lighter hair behind. 😅

So I told my girl Charlott Lopez what I felt wasn’t working for me anymore, what I was hoping to accomplish, and basically said, “Work your magic.”

And SHE. NAILED. IT. Not an ounce of regret! 👏🏼

Somehow she took my very vague explanation of what was floating around in my head and turned it into exactly what I didn’t even know how to ask for. 😂

A little darker, a little richer, still dimensional, and such a nice change heading into fall. 🍂🤎

Moral of the story: find yourself a stylist who understands your rambling explanations and then TRUST HER. 😂

I think I may officially be entering my brunette era… 🤎

🏡 When they say “in-law suite”… but it’s basically a whole second living space. 👀

I toured this new construction home in River Club in Suffolk by Chesapeake Homes today, and this setup immediately caught my attention.

A private space like this gives you SO many options, aging parents, adult kids, long-term guests, or just extra room when family comes to stay. And the best part? Everyone can have their own space without being too far away. 😂

Multigenerational living is definitely something I’m seeing more buyers ask about, and I can see why!

Apparently emails, contracts, showings, listings and clients have been getting WAY too much of my attention lately… and somebody has had enough. 🐶

No more laptop. No more phone.
Pet me. Immediately. 😂🤍

Summer in real estate has been BUSY ☀️🏡 and looking back at everything happening lately, I’m feeling pretty grateful.

This summer has looked a little different for every client:

🏡 Helped a sweet family purchase their new home in Suffolk with a backyard perfect for entertaining
🤍 Helped the mom of a past client purchase a townhouse in a community both her and her family agreed on so she could move closer to family. referrals like this always mean so much to me
⚓ Helped a service member PCS’ing to Hampton Roads find a place to call home while he’s stationed here
💍 Helped a family find a bigger home after getting married and needing more space for their next chapter
🔑 Working with two investors to get their investment properties SOLD and searching for their next projects
🏠 Currently helping three more first-time homebuyers navigate the process and work toward getting those keys

And we’re not slowing down yet…

I have another Suffolk listing coming next month, and she is going to be a BEAUTY. 👀 Stay tuned for that one! The backyard gives off Romantic Tuscan vibes that you’re gonna want to see for yourself

Lots of driving, showings, inspections, contracts, negotiations, phone calls and behind-the-scenes work, but getting to be a small part of all these different chapters is what makes it worth it.

From first homes and fresh starts to PCS moves, growing families and investment properties… summer has been good to me. 🫶

One of my favorite parts of real estate is getting to see the things that make a home and the people who live there completely unique. ❤️🏡

Went to a listing appointment and somehow ended up getting a private piano performance AND an offer for piano lessons. 😂🎹

Then I wandered outside and found a backyard full of personality… a koi pond, an old wagon, beautiful flowers, and even a terracotta pot person and dog just hanging out. 😂

You really never know what you’re going to find when you walk into someone’s home, and honestly, that’s part of what makes this job so much fun.

Every house has a story, and sometimes the listing appointment turns into a whole experience. ❤️

And yes… I may have to take him up on those piano lessons. 🎹😂
