Why this matters for renters and property owners: 🤔
Zillow paid Redfin $100 million. 💵 to shut down its own rental listing business, only repost Zillow's listings, and stay out of the market for up to nine years. Regulators said that setup could've meant higher prices and worse terms for property managers, plus lower quality listings for renters.
Now .... Redfin has to get back in the game, with more listings and real investment to become a legitimate competitor again, not just a pass-through for Zillow. More competition usually means better pricing, more transparency, and more options for renters and property owners alike.

One of the BEST things about living in Hampton Roads? 🌊 For our family at least.
The Outer Banks are practically in our backyard! 🏖️
From Chesapeake, you can be in Kitty Hawk/KDH or Nags Head in around 1–1¼ hours, Duck in about 1½ hours, Manteo in about 1½ hours, and even Hatteras is an easy coastal getaway.
Beach day, weekend escape, dinner by the water or just a little reset… this is one of the perks of calling Hampton Roads home. ❤️
Drive times are approximate and, as every local knows, summer traffic has its own schedule! 😂. Always worth it!!
