One perspective from a couple that purchased a home with an 8% interest rate.

They “married the house, dated the rate” meaning they purchased the home they could afford and would refinance if/when interest rates dropped.

I thought the article was a good read for those that are on the fence about buying due to interest rates. For what it’s worth, FHA is 6.55%, VA is 6.57% and conventional is 7.05%. All are 30-year fixed rates as of July 3rd.
