This weekend is about honoring those that gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Dont forget their names, don't forget their purpose, and always remember.

During the Coca-Cola 600 (Nascar race)today you will see the name of a service member who gave their life for our country on the windshield of every car in the race. You will also see the "Honor and Remember" logo on every tire. Honor and remember is a nonprofit organization that has the goal of presenting a flag to the family of every fallen service member. This organization is based here in Hampton Roads and the flags are all hand sewn here as well. George Lutz(the founder) has an amazing, heart touching story of how he came up with the idea of creating a symbol that could be displayed every day for families to honor the fallen after his son was KIA by a sniper in Fallujah in 2005.

On this Memorial Day weekend, please visit their website and read his story. Then visit their store to make a donation, buy a lapel pin or hat, or even sponsor a flag for a family. This organization has held a special place in my heart for the last several years and your support would be greatly appreciated.

Good evening everyone, just a reminder, tomorrow night is going to be a full moon aka the Flower Super Moon of 2021. It will be the closest approach to Earth tomorrow night and the start time when it rises it will be at 8:50pm EST. The best viewing areas will be at Buckroe Beach, Fort Monroe, and etc looking towards the direction like a sunrise.
