Here are a few pointers:

🏠 Home 🏠
• Let faucets drip slightly to help prevent frozen pipes
• Open cabinet doors under sinks to allow warm air in
• If safe, ensure you have an emergency heat source available
• Use sand/salt/cat litter on steps and walkways to prevent ice

🔦 Be Ready for Power Outages 🔦
• Have flashlights and extra batteries on hand
• Keep extra water and non-perishable food stocked
• Charge phones & keep a backup charger/power bank near
• Make sure you have extra pet food and supplies

🚗Travel Safely🚗
• Avoid unnecessary travel if roads are icy
• Check that your tires are secure and have proper traction
• Keep a phone charger in your vehicle and drive cautiously

⏰Plan Ahead⏰
• Shop early in case stores close or supplies become limited
• Prepare simple meals ahead of time
• Check on neighbors or loved ones who may need assistance

Back in May, a wonderful couple was referred to me by a past client (LOVE ❤️ when this happens)! They said the military was moving them to South Carolina and they needed their Chesapeake home sold relatively quickly.
