Light shades like white, cream, or soft pastels reflect light, making the space feel more open. Avoid dark or harsh colors.

Layer lighting
Natural light is best! Remove window coverings altogether to let in more sunlight. Add under-cabinet lighting, pendant lights, and recessed lighting to brighten the space.

Use Vertical Space
Install tall cabinets and moldings all the way to the ceiling. This draws the eye upward and create the impression of height.

Keep Flooring Consistent
This is so important! We prefer hardwoods but use the same flooring throughout the kitchen and adjacent rooms to create a seamless flow

Incorporate Glass
Use glass cabinet doors or open shelving to reduce visual weight.
