Like EVER!
Today that changes….
I booked a $47 per person (including children) Mothers Day breakfast at Mabel's in Powhatan. I had been there a few years ago for milkshakes and I’ll say they are good. DO NOT GO FOR ANYTHING ELSE!
This breakfast promised to be a feast with all the signatures southern dishes, beautiful tray of goodies on the table and gifts for all the moms in the party. I booked for 9! Add that up!!!! Below is what was served on paper plates. They ran out of coffee mugs. The food was literally from food lion next door. It was worse than a continental breakfast at a days inn. I was so embarrassed to have brought my family and friends to this joke. I kept hoping that it would get better but it only got worse. The “gifts” for the moms was a food lion cookie and a $10 GC to come back. That was left on the table. They had the nerve to charge an up charge for a mimosa! No orange juice, milk or apple juice for the children and again, creamer for my coffee was from food lion. Disgusted, disappointed and appalled that this restaurant feels they can charge this to families celebrating a holiday. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
