With paving underway and progress rapidly being made, the effort to relieve current and future congestion along Rte. 10 is in the near future. Less backups along Rte. 10 and I-295 will make for faster travel time!

Heads up!

Yep! We're gonna go ahead and tell you our plan (we always do) because ultimately, the goal is TRAFFIC SAFETY. So here's what's happening:
From Oct. 31 through Nov. 6, additional officers will patrol the Chester/Enon area, with particular attention to Route 10, Route 1, Chester Road, Harrowgate Road, Curtis Street, Osborne Road, Rivers Bend Boulevard and others. The focus of this effort will be on pedestrian safety, speeding, reckless driving, red-light running, impaired driving and mobile device use while driving.
Since Oct. 1, 2020, police have investigated four fatal motor vehicle crashes in the Chester/Enon area. Speed, alcohol, lack of seatbelt use and distracted driving continue to be factors in these crashes. As always, police encourage all motorists to buckle up and drive safely and all pedestrians to be visible to drivers, wear reflective clothing, carry a flashlight and cross the roadway in well-lit areas.
